About Me
Sam I Am
Born in Brooklyn New York and transplanted to South Carolina at young age, I was afforded the opportunity to grow up in a loving, stable, 2 parent household. Having been taught the importance of hard work and the value of a good education, I obtained my Associates from Spartanburg Methodist College, Bachelors of Social Work from Limestone College and my Master of Arts from Webster University. While obtaining my degrees, I was working in the field, acquiring real life experience to compliment my educational obtainments. My real life experience includes the following: One year of employment with Gateway House (Mentally Ill Adults), Eight years of employment with the Department of Social Services, Six years of employment with NC Mental Health, Twenty plus years of mentoring preteen and teenagers
With 15 years of professional experience and numerous more mentoring, I've always had a desire to help others. Whether I'm facilitating an Anger Management group or working with At-Risk Youth, I give it my all. However, my impact on others has been limited by geography. Now, with this website, I'm afforded the opportunity to expand my reach. It's my desire to make this website a tool for many struggling to address life's challenges.
